
The Birmingham Stallions signed defensive end Maximilian Roberts on Monday according to Pro Football Newsroom reporter James Larsen.
Maximilian Roberts is six foot one and weighs 242 pounds. The 27-year-old from Delaware, Ohio, was drafted by the Memphis Showboats in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft. In 2024, Roberts made 18 tackles (9 solos, 9 assists), four tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 10 games. He became a free agent after the 2024 season.
The Los Angeles Rams signed Roberts as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2021. In 2021, he made one tackle (1 assist) in one preseason game. The Rams released him on August 16, 2021.
The Vegas Vipers (XFL) drafted Roberts in the second round (16th pick) in Phase 3 of the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, he made 26 tackles (14 solos, 12 assists), five tackles for loss, four sacks, and two forced fumbles in 10 games.
Collegiately, Roberts played three seasons at Fordham University (2016-18) making 74 tackles (49 solos, 25 assists), 13.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 20 games for the Rams.
Next, he transferred to the University of Maine in 2019 making 19 tackles (7 solos, 12 assists), four tackles for loss, four sacks, one pass breakup, and two forced fumbles in 11 games for the Black Bears.
Then, Roberts transferred to Boston College in 2020 making 22 tackles (14 solos, 8 assists), six tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble in nine games for the Eagles.
