
The Toronto Argonauts signed offensive linemen Jas Khaira and Hampton Ergle on Friday. Toronto also announced they signed three of their draft picks including running back Joey Zorn, defensive back Istvan Assibo-Dadzie, and offensive lineman Ethan Pyle.
Jas Khaira is six foot four and weighs 294 pounds. A native of Brampton, Ontario, Khaira played four seasons at Queen’s University (2021-24) playing 19 games on the offensive line for the Gaels. In 2024, Queen’s averaged 30.40 points per game, 137.4 rushing yards per game, 217.10 passing yards per game, 329.6 total yards per game, 34 touchdowns, and allowed 16 sacks finishing 6-4 for the season.
Hampton Ergle is six foot seven and weighs 320 pounds. A native of Lexington, South Carolina, Ergle played five seasons at East Carolina University (2020-24) playing center, right tackle, and left tackle in 29 games, of which 26 were starts for the Pirates.
He closed out his collegiate career starting 26 consecutive games. In 2024, East Carolina averaged 32 points per game, 172.4 rushing yards per game, 264 passing yards per game, 436.4 total yards per game, 53 touchdowns, and allowed 21 sacks finishing 8-5 for the season. The Pirates defeated N.C. State in the 2024 Military Bowl.
Joey Zorn is six foot two and weighs 205 pounds. The 24-year-old from Flint, Michigan, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the sixth round (55th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Zorn played three seasons at the University of Windsor (2022-24) with 307 carries for 2,190 yards, eight touchdowns, 49 catches for 480 yards, two touchdowns, four kick returns for 75 yards, and three punt returns for 38 yards in 26 games for the Lancers.
Istvan Assibo-Dadzie is six foot and weighs 190 pounds. The 23-year-old from Brampton, Ontario, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the fourth round (30th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Assibo-Dadzie played three seasons at the University of Windsor (2021-23) making 84 tackles (51 solos, 33 assists), half a tackle for loss, one sack, three interceptions, seven pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries in 22 games for the Lancers.
Ethan Pyle is six foot two and weighs 284 pounds. The 23-year-old from Milton, Ontario, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the seventh round (64th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Pyle played five seasons at the University of Guelph (2020-24) playing 30 games for the Gryphons. In 2024, Guelph averaged 31.10 points per game, 207.1 rushing yards per game, 261.80 passing yards per game, 449.4 total yards per game, 36 touchdowns, and allowed 30 sacks finishing 7-3 for the season.
