
The Saskatchewan Roughriders selected seven players in the 2025 CFL Draft on Tuesday night. Here are the players headed to Saskatchewan.
Ali Saad is six foot three and weighs 280 pounds. The 23-year-old from Windsor, Ontario, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the first round (4th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, he spent one season at Minnesota in 2020 as a redshirt freshman and did not play for the Golden Gophers. Then, he transferred to Bowling Green State (2021-24) making 78 tackles (40 solos, 38 assists), 14 tackles for loss, six sacks, four forced fumbles, and one blocked kick in 44 games for the Falcons. He was named Academic All-MAC in 2024.
Erik Andersen is six foot six and weighs 314 pounds. The 24-year-old from London, Ontario, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the second round (13th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. Andersen has accepted a rookie minicamp invite from the New York Giants.
Collegiately, Andersen played five seasons at Western University (2020-24) playing left tackle in 40 games for the Mustangs. In 2024, Western averaged 49.5 points per game, 227.8 rushing yards per game, 264.8 passing yards per game, 492.5 total yards per game, and 43 touchdowns finishing 7-1 for the season.
He was named a two-time First Team U-Sports All-Canadian and was the OUA’s nominee for the J. P. Metras Trophy, which is given annually to the top lineman in U-Sports football.
Kurtis Rourke is six foot five and weighs 223 pounds. The 24-year-old from Oakville, Ontario, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the third round (25th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. He was also drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round (227th pick) of the 2025 NFL Draft. Rourke is the youngest brother of current B.C. Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke.
Collegiately, Rourke played five seasons at Ohio (2019-23) completing 638 of 963 passes (66%) for 7,650 yards, 50 touchdowns, 16 interceptions, 232 carries for 832 yards, 11 touchdowns, three catches for 62 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 36 games for the Bobcats. He was named First Team All-MAC in 2022, MAC Most Valuable Player in 2022, MAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2022, and Second Team All-MAC in 2023.
Then, Rourke transferred to Indiana in 2024 completing 222 of 320 passes (69%) for 3,042 yards, 29 touchdowns, five interceptions, 46 carries for -35 yards, two touchdowns, and one tackle (1 assist) in 12 games for the Hoosiers leading them to the First round of the college football playoffs. He was named Second Team All-Big Ten. Rourke played the season with a Torn ACL and had surgery on January 8, 2025.
Seth Hundeby is six foot two and weighs 251 pounds. The 23-year-old from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the fourth round (34th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Hundeby played four seasons at the University of Saskatchewan (2021-24) making 164 tackles (125 solos, 80 assists), 17 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, five pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 42 games for the Huskies. He was named a Canada West All-Star and All-Canadian in 2024.
Liam Hoskins is six foot two and weighs 240 pounds. The 24-year-old from London, Ontario, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the fifth round (43rd pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Hoskins played four seasons at the University of Windsor (2021-24) making 105 tackles (60 solos, 45 assists), 13 tackles for loss, 7.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions for 142 yards, two touchdowns, six pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 34 games for the Lancers. He earned invites to the CFL Combine and the 2024 East-West Bowl.
Gideon Agyei is six foot one and weighs 199 pounds. The 23-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the sixth round (52nd pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Agyei played four seasons at the University of Calgary (2021-24) making 44 tackles (32 solos, 27 assists), two interceptions for 33 yards, one touchdown, and 11 pass breakups in 21 games for the Dinos.
Daniel Wiebe is five foot nine and weighs 185 pounds. The 21-year-old from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the eighth round (69th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Wiebe played four seasons at the University of Saskatchewan (2021-24) making 139 catches for 1,808 yards, 14 touchdowns, two carries for seven yards, one touchdown, two kick returns for 40 yards, 68 punt returns for 660 yards, five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist), and 1.5 tackles for loss in 34 games for the Huskies. He was named Most Outstanding Freshman in 2021.
