
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats selected eight players in the 2025 CFL Draft on Tuesday night. Here are the players headed to Hamilton.
Devin Veresuk is six foot three and weighs 230 pounds. The 23-year-old from Windsor, Ontario, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the first round (2nd pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Veresuk played four seasons at the University of Windsor (2021-24) making 189 tackles (119 solos, 70 assists), 15.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, one interception, four pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 26 games. He was named a two-time Second Team All-OUA All-Star and a participant of the East-West Bowl in 2024.
Isaiah Bagnah is six foot three and weighs 261 pounds. The 23-year-old from Lethbridge, Alberta, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the second round (9th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Bagnah played three seasons at Boise State (2020-22) making 58 tackles (32 solos, 26 assists), 12.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, and one forced fumble in 24 games for the Broncos. Then, he transferred to BYU (2023-24) making 52 tackles (24 solos, 28 assists), four tackles for loss, two sacks, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 25 games for the Cougars.
Arvin Hosseini is six foot five and weighs 300 pounds. The 21-year-old from North Vancouver, British Columbia, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the third round (21st pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Hosseini played four seasons at the University of British Columbia (2021-24) playing 27 games, of which 16 were starts for the Thunderbirds. In 2024, UBC averaged 27.67 points per game, 148.4 rushing yards per game, 310.78 passing yards per game, 442.4 total yards per game, 29 touchdowns, and allowed 10 sacks finishing 5-4 for the season.
He was named a Canada West All-Star in 2024 and helped UBC win the Hardy Cup and Mitchell Bowl championship in 2023.
Mack Bannatyne is six foot and weighs 190 pounds. The 23-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the third round (28th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Bannatyne played two seasons at York University (2021-22) making 43 tackles (36 solos, 14 assists), two tackles for loss, two interceptions for 64 yards, one touchdown, and seven pass breakups in 11 games for the Lions.
Then, he transferred to the University of Alberta (2023-24) making 51 tackles (43 solos, 8 assists), one tackle for loss, two interceptions for 30 yards, eight pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries in 12 games for the Golden Bears. He was named a Canada West All-Star and Second Team U-Sports All-Canadian in 2024.
Ty Anderson is six foot three and weighs 283 pounds. The 22-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the fourth round (36th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Anderson played four seasons at the University of Alberta (2021-24) making 59 tackles (33 solos, 26 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, half a sack, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and two blocked kicks in 25 games for the Golden Bears. He also played in the 2024 East-West Bowl.
Ronan Horrall is six foot one and weighs 202 pounds. The 22-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the sixth round (48th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Horrall played four seasons at the University of British Columbia (2021-24) making 32 tackles (15 solos, 17 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, two interceptions for 20 yards, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 25 games for the Thunderbirds.
Jake Nitychoruk is six foot four and weighs 205 pounds. The 22-year-old from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the seventh round (57th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Nitychoruk played four seasons at the University of Manitoba (2021-24) making 54 tackles (45 solos, 9 assists), one tackle for loss, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one blocked kick, and one punt return for four yards in 27 games for the Bisons.
Nate Martey is six foot and weighs 260 pounds. The 22-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the eighth round (66th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Martey played two seasons at Princeton (2021-22) making 33 tackles (15 solos, 18 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery in 14 games for the Tigers. Then, he transferred to Arkansas State (2023-24) making 64 tackles (26 solos, 38 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, and one pass breakup in 23 games for the Red Wolves.
