Edmonton Elks sign defensive end Randy Charlton

The Edmonton Elks signed defensive end Randy Charlton on Tuesday.

Randy Charlton is six foot three and weighs 265 pounds. The 24-year-old from Miami, Florida, signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. He made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist), one sack, one quarterback hit, and one pass breakup in three preseason games earning himself a spot on the practice squad. The Dolphins released him on September 4, 2023.

Collegiately, Charlton played three seasons at the University of Central Florida (2018-20) with 68 tackles (39 solo, 29 assists), 12.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and four pass breakups in 26 games for the Knights.

Then, Charlton transferred to Mississippi State (2021-22) with 71 tackles (31 solo, 40 assists), 12 tackles for loss, 8 sacks, one pass breakup, and two forced fumbles in 25 games for the Bulldogs.
