The Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed offensive lineman Kendrick Sartor and long snapper Gordon Whyte to two-year contract extensions through the 2025 season on Tuesday.

Kendrick Sartor is six foot seven and weighs 316 pounds. The 24-year-old from Cincinnati, Ohio, started six games for the Ticats in 2023 playing right tackle. The Ticats signed Sartor on May 2, 2023. Before Hamilton, Sartor started 12 of 13 games for the Marshall Thundering Herd in 2022 playing right tackle.

The Thundering Herd’s offense averaged 205.9 rushing yards per game, 192 yards passing per game, and 5,173 total yards. Marshall played in the 2022 Myrtle Beach Bowl and defeated the Connecticut Huskies 28-14. Sartor won the team’s President’s Award in 2022.

Collegiately, Sartor played six seasons at Marshall University (2017-22) starting 24 games at right tackle in 33 games for the Thundering Herd. In 2020, he played six games including the C-USA Championship Game and the Camellia Bowl.

Gordon Whyte is six foot two and weighs 240 pounds. The 26-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, made three tackles on special teams in 18 games for the Ticats in 2023. Hamilton drafted Whyte in the eighth round (67th pick) in the 2019 CFL Draft. In three seasons in Hamilton, Whyte has made 13 tackles on special teams in 50 games for the Ticats.

Collegiately, Whyte played four seasons at St. Francis Xavier (2015-19) with 179 tackles (137 solo, 84 assists), 10 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and 3 pass breakups in 40 games for the X-Men. Whyte was a member of three Loney Bowl championship teams for the X-Men in 2015, 2016, and 2018.
