Will MacKinnon scores his third goal for Reading in a 1-0 win over Maine

On Friday night at the Cross Insurance Arena, the Reading Royals (8-5-1) shut out the Maine Mariners (6-8-1) by the final score of 1-0.

Will MacKinnon (3) scored for the Royals late in the third period with assists from Tyler Kirkup and Jacob Gaucher. The Royals finished the night with 28 shots, 0/2 on the power play, and Brody Claeys got his first shutout of the season with 31 saves. The Mariners finished the night with 31 shots, 0/2 on the power play, and Francois Brassard made 27 saves.

The Royals visit the Cool Insuring Arena tonight at 7 pm against the Adirondack Thunder. Tickets for the game can be purchased on StubHub.
