Kaytron Allen scores a touchdown for Penn State in a 41-17 loss to Michigan

On Saturday afternoon at Michigan Stadium, the Penn State Nittany Lions lost their first game of the season 41-17 to the Michigan Wolverines in the battle of two undefeated teams. The Nittany Lions are 5-1, 2-1 in conference play, and the Wolverines are 7-0, 4-0 in conference play.

Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford was 7/19 for 120 yards and six carries for 74 yards, while backup quarterback Drew Allar was 5/10 for 37 yards. Running back Kaytron Allen had six carries for 16 yards and one touchdown, while wide receivers Harrison Wallace III and Mitchell Tinsley combined for seven catches for 114 yards.

Penn State’s defense allowed 563 yards, with 91 tackles, one sack, one pass breakup, one interception, and one touchdown. Penn State plays Minnesota next Saturday at 7:30 pm on ABC.

Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy was 17/24 for 145 yards and seven carries for 57 yards. Running backs Donovan Edwards and Blake Corum combined for 44 carries for 339 yards and four touchdowns, while wide receiver Cornelius Johnson had three catches for 43 yards.
