On Saturday afternoon at Ohio Stadium, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights were routed by the Ohio State Buckeyes 49-10 for their second loss of the season. Rutgers are now 3-2, while Ohio State moves up to 5-0.
Rutgers quarterback Evan Simon was 10/19 for 74 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and six carries for six yards. Running back Samuel Brown V had 15 carries for 79 yards, while wide receiver Sean Ryan had two catches for 40 yards and one touchdown.
Rutgers’ defense allowed 413 yards, 53 tackles, one sack, three pass breakups, and one interception. Rutgers Nebraska next Friday at 7 pm on FS1.
Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud was 13/22 for 154 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Running back Miyan Williams had 21 carries for 189 yards and five touchdowns, while wide receiver Julian Fleming had four catches for 51 yards and one touchdown.
Ohio State’s defense allowed 187 yards, 67 tackles, one sack, three pass breakups, and one interception. Ohio State visits Michigan State next Saturday at 4 pm on ABC.
