The NTT IndyCar Series concluded the 2026 season on Sunday afternoon at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in the Mission Foods Grand Prix of Monterey. Scott McLaughlin started the race on the pole, with 2026 NTT IndyCar champion Alex Palou starting second.

On the opening lap, Sting Ray Robb and Dennis Hauger got together at Turn 6 for the race’s only caution. Robb was issued a stop-and-go penalty for the incident. Scott McLaughlin dominated the race, leading a race-high 87 of 95 laps to snap a 35-race winless streak by 1.3739 seconds over Kyle Kirkwood. It was his first win since Milwaukee in 2024.

The only time he lost the lead was entering pit road. Alexander Rossi led four laps, while Felix Rosenqvist and Marcus Armstrong led two laps. There were six lead changes among four drivers, and 160 passes, of which 146 were for positions.

Alexander Rossi, Felix Rosenqvist, and David Malukas rounded out the top five. Christian Lundgaard, Marcus Armstrong, Alex Palou, Marcus Ericsson, and Kyffin Simpson completed the top ten.
