The Calgary Stampeders signed defensive lineman Daniel Grzesiak on Thursday.
Daniel Grzesiak is six foot one and weighs 245 pounds. The 25-year-old from Los Angeles, California, was drafted by the Louisville Kings in the 2026 UFL Regional College Allocation Draft. In 2026, he made 19 tackles (10 solos, 9 assists), three tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in 10 games. In the UFL playoffs, he made five tackles (2 solos, 3 assists), one tackle for loss, and 1.5 sacks, helping the Kings win the United Bowl championship over the D.C. Defenders.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Grzesiak as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he made five tackles (2 solos, 3 assists) in three preseason games. He spent the season on the practice squad, and the Buccaneers released him on April 29, 2025.
Collegiately, Grzesiak spent three seasons at Nevada (2019-21) with 42 tackles (29 solos, 13 assists), 9.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick in 34 games for the Wolf Pack.
Next, he transferred to Utah State in 2022 with 52 tackles (24 solos, 28 assists), 13 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 13 games for the Aggies. Then, he transferred to Cincinnati in 2023 with 46 tackles (22 solos, 24 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 12 games for the Bearcats.
