The Montreal Alouettes extended the contracts of Head Coach Jason Maas and General Manager Danny Maciocia for two more years on Tuesday. Maas is now under contract through the 2030 season, and Maciocia is under contract through the 2031 season.
Jason Maas was hired by Danny Maciocia in December of 2022. The 50-year-old from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, has gone 42-22-1 in Montreal, which includes winning the 110th Grey Cup in 2023 and appearing in the Grey Cup in 2025.
He was named Coach of the Year in 2024, after leading the Alouettes to win the East Division with a 12-5-1 record. Overall, Maas’s coaching record is 81-55-1, which includes his four-year run with the Edmonton Eskimos from 2016 to 2019.

Danny Maciocia returned as Montreal’s General Manager in January of 2020, following a nine-year run as Head Coach of the University of Montreal. Since returning to the General Manager role, the Alouettes have gone 58-37-1, including making the playoffs since 2021.

He is responsible for acquiring several talents, including quarterback Davis Alexander and running back Travis Theis. He and his staff have drafted and developed players into CFL All-Stars such as Geoffrey Cantin-Arku, Nate Beauchemin, Arthur Hamlin, Pier-Olivier Lestage, Tyson Philpot, Tyrell Richards, and Jonathan Sutherland, among others.
