The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed quarterback Cameron Peters and wide receiver Hakeem Harris to the practice squad, while releasing quarterback Jarret Doege from the practice squad on Tuesday.
Cameron Peters is six foot four and weighs 207 pounds. The 24-year-old from Missouri City, Texas, played one season at Kilgore College in 2023, completing 112 of 210 passes (53.3%) for 2,140 yards, 26 touchdowns, six interceptions, 64 carries for 344 yards, and seven rushing touchdowns in nine games for the Rangers.
Then, he spent two seasons at Prairie View A&M (2024-25), completing 254 of 423 passes (60%) for 3,723 yards, 27 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 147 carries for 598 yards, five rushing touchdowns, one catch for 24 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 21 games for the Panthers. In 2025, he completed 186 of 291 passes (64%) for 2,798 yards, 23 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, 104 carries for 525 yards, five rushing touchdowns, one catch for 24 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 13 games. After the season, he played in the HBCU Legacy Bowl.
Hakeem Harris is six foot three and weighs 210 pounds. The 24-year-old from Markham, Ontario, was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the third round (26th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. In 2025, he appeared in 12 games. In 2026, Harris was on the team’s practice squad. The Alouettes released him on July 21, 2026.
Collegiately, Harris played five seasons at Davenport University (2020-24) with 18 catches for 267 yards, one touchdown, eight tackles (5 solos, 3 assists), and half a tackle for loss in 26 games for the Panthers.
Jarret Doege is six foot two and weighs 208 pounds. The 28-year-old from Lubbock, Texas, signed with the B.C. Lions on May 15, 2026. In 2026, he completed 6 of 11 passes 54%) for 67 yards in two preseason games. The Lions released him on May 31, 2026. Doege signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on July 8, 2026. He appeared in one game in 2026.
The Edmonton Elks signed Doege on April 3, 2023. In 2023, he completed 42 of 65 passes (64.6%) for 587 yards, four touchdowns, four interceptions, and seven carries for five yards in 16 games. In 2024, Doege completed 1 of 3 passes (33%) for six yards and one carry for five yards in four games. The Elks released him on May 2, 2025.

Doege began his collegiate career at Bowling Green State University (2017-18), completing 362 of 577 passes (62.7%) for 4,041 yards, 39 touchdowns, 15 interceptions, 81 carries for -262 yards, and four touchdowns in 19 games for the Falcons. In 2018, he led the MAC in passing touchdowns (27) and passing yards (2,660).
Next, Doege transferred to West Virginia (2019-21), completing 590 of 911 passes (65%) for 6,453 yards, 40 touchdowns, 19 interceptions, 117 carries for -304 yards, and three touchdowns in 27 games for the Mountaineers.
In 2020, Doege completed 239 of 374 passes (64%) for 2,587 yards, 14 touchdowns, four interceptions, 40 carries for -101 yards, and two touchdowns in ten games. He was named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team, All-Big 12 Second Team, and All-Big 12 Fourth Team in 2020.
Then, he transferred to Troy in 2022, completing 44 of 64 passes (69%) for 575 yards, five touchdowns, three interceptions, and 14 carries for -39 yards in seven games for the Trojans.
