The Detroit Lions signed Orlando Storm defensive back Jason Taylor II on Monday.
Jason Taylor II is six foot and weighs 203 pounds. The 26-year-old from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was drafted by the Orlando Storm in the 2026 UFL Draft. In 2026, he made 15 tackles (11 solos, 4 assists) and one forced fumble in five games. In the UFL Semi-Finals against the D.C. Defenders, Taylor II made seven tackles (5 solos, 2 assists) and one tackle for loss.
The Los Angeles Rams drafted Taylor II in the seventh round (234th pick) of the 2023 NFL Draft. In 2024, he made 13 tackles (8 solos, 5 assists) and two pass breakups in three preseason games. In the regular season, he made five tackles (5 solos) in eight games. The Rams released him on September 10, 2024. He also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Collegiately, Taylor II spent five seasons at Oklahoma State University (2018-22) with 175 tackles (138 solos, 37 assists), 11 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, eight interceptions for 129 yards, one touchdown, 11 pass breakups, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and one touchdown in 54 games for the Cowboys. He was named First Team All-Big XII in 2022, All-Big XII Honorable Mention Defensive Player of the Year in 2022, and an All-Big XII Honorable Mention in 2021.
