The Arizona Cardinals signed defensive back Josh Minkins on Monday, according to James Larsen.
Josh Minkins is six foot two and weighs 207 pounds. The 24-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky, was drafted by the Orlando Storm in the 2026 UFL Draft. In 2026, he made 32 tackles (22 solos, 10 assists), one fumble recovery, and three pass breakups in seven games. He did not play in the postseason.
The New England Patriots signed Minkins as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he made three tackles (1 solo, 2 assists) in one preseason game. The Patriots released him on August 10, 2025.
Collegiately, Minkins spent four seasons at the University of Louisville (2020-23) with 99 tackles (68 solos, 31 assists), two tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, one forced fumble, and three pass breakups in 40 games for the Cardinals.
Then, he transferred to the University of Cincinnati in 2024 with 45 tackles (28 solos, 17 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, four pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 11 games for the Bearcats.
