The NASCAR Cup Series visited New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon in the Dollar Tree 301. Tyler Reddick started the race on the pole, with Josh Berry starting second.
All teams started the race on wet tires with the rain intensifying during the pace laps. Carson Hocevar spun during the pace laps. When the race started, Josh Berry cleared Tyler Reddick to take the lead, but he drove high in Turn 3, allowing Reddick to pass him for the lead. However, Reddick spun at Turn 4 to bring out the caution as Denny Hamlin and Chris Buescher nearly hit him. William Byron took the lead before the caution came out.
Later, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. spun at Turn 4 to bring out another caution. Kyle Larson took the lead on lap 57. He led 16 laps to win the first stage. It was his fifth stage win of the season. Shane van Gisbergen was the new leader to start the second stage.
On lap 84, Carson Hocevar spun on the frontstretch after making contact with Connor Zilisch. Joey Logano and Austin Dillon were also involved. Ryan Preece was the leader on the restart. He lost the lead to Josh Berry on lap 92. Berry led 56 laps before losing the lead to Ryan Blaney. Blaney led 40 laps to win the second stage.
In the final stage, there were three cautions. Carson Hocevar spun for the third time on lap 204. On lap 225, Riley Herbst crashed at Turn 3 after getting hit by Michael McDowell, followed by Herbst getting hit by Connor Zilisch. On lap 234, William Byron lost a left rear tire.
Late in the race, Ryan Blaney was leading with both Bubba Wallace and Josh Berry right on his tail. Lapped-down traffic came into play, with Blaney able to use them to slow the other cars down. Bubba Wallace tried to gain ground, but he jammed the brakes late heading into Turn 3, allowing Blaney to pull away. Blaney led a race-high 115 of 301 laps to go on to win his third race of the season by 0.586 seconds over Bubba Wallace.
Josh Berry, Christopher Bell, and Kyle Larson rounded out the top five. Ty Gibbs, Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Preece, and Noah Gragson completed the top ten. Click here to view the full results.
