Craig Young is six foot three and weighs 225 pounds. The 25-year-old from Fort Wayne, Indiana, signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on December 22, 2025. In 2026, he made three tackles and one tackle on special teams in two preseason games, earning a spot on the practice squad. Young appeared in two regular-season games with one tackle on special teams.
The Indianapolis Colts signed Young as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he made eight tackles (5 solos, 3 assists) in three preseason games. The Colts released him on August 27, 2023. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Young to the practice squad on October 16, 2024. The Steelers released him on November 5, 2024.
The Cincinnati Bengals signed him to the practice squad on December 24, 2024. He later re-signed with the Bengals on January 5, 2025. In 2025, he made nine tackles (4 solos, 5 assists) in three preseason games. The Bengals released him on August 25, 2025.
Collegiately, Young spent three seasons at Ohio State University (2019-21) with 25 tackles (14 solos, 11 assists), half a tackle for loss, one interception for 70 yards, one touchdown, and one pass breakup in 24 games for the Buckeyes.
Then, he transferred to Kansas University (2022-23) with 101 tackles (71 solos, 30 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, two interceptions for 13 yards, eight pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 26 games for the Jayhawks. In 2022, he made a career-high 60 tackles (42 solos, 18 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one interception for 13 yards, four pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 13 games.
