The Ottawa Redblacks signed offensive lineman Jamar McGloster, defensive lineman Jordan Lawson, and defensive back Christian Matthew.
Jamar McGloster is six foot seven and weighs 308 pounds. The 30-year-old from Hillside, New Jersey, started 14 games for the Alouettes in 2025.
Montreal’s offense averaged 23.3 points per game, 34 touchdowns, 329.4 net offense per game, 254.6 passing yards per game, 85.9 rushing yards per game, and allowed 26 sacks, finishing 10-8 for the season on their way to appearing in the 112th Grey Cup against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The Alouettes released him on February 2, 2026.
The San Francisco 49ers signed McGloster as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2018. He also spent time with the Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Chargers, and Oakland Raiders.
In 2019, McGloster signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He was a backup in the first three games before moving to the practice squad. After Winnipeg, McGloster returned to the Los Angeles Chargers and later signed with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2020, but the season was canceled due to COVID-19.
In 2022, McGloster signed with the B.C. Lions, but was released in the final week of training camp before signing with the Montreal Alouettes signed McGloster to the practice squad on July 17, 2022.
In 2023, McGloster played 11 games, of which nine were starts. In the 110th Grey Cup, McGloster opened up room for running back William Stanback to score a 32-yard touchdown in a 28-24 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Montreal’s offense finished seventh in offensive points per game (20.6), fourth in touchdowns (43), sixth in average net offensive yards (329.7), fifth in average rushing yards (102.2), sixth in average passing yards (250.0), and eighth in sacks allowed (61).
In 2024, McGloster played one game. He missed the majority of the season with a back injury. Montreal averaged 25.3 points per game (5th), 332.9 net offense per game (9th), 84.3 rushing yards per game (8th), 264.4 passing yards per game (7th), and 46 touchdowns (4th).
Collegiately, McGloster played four seasons at Syracuse (2014-17), playing 30 games at right tackle, including 24 consecutive starts for the Orange. In 2017, Syracuse’s offense ranked third in the ACC in total offense (456.3 YPG) and second in passing (294.8 YPG).
In 2016, Syracuse’s offense had 5,290 total yards (440.8 YPG) and protected Syracuse’s quarterbacks, who ranked 11th nationally and second in the ACC in passing (321.3 YPG).
Jordan Lawson is six foot four and weighs 245 pounds. The 24-year-old from Brandon, Mississippi, attended the Miami Dolphins rookie minicamp in 2026.
Collegiately, Lawson spent four seasons at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2022-25) with 161 tackles (81 solos, 80 assists), 35 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, one interception, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick in 49 games for the Rajin’ Cajuns.
He was named Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference in 2024 after finishing the season with 44 tackles (24 solos, 20 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one interception, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 14 games.
In 2025, he had a career-high 52 tackles (28 solos, 24 assists), 15 tackles for loss, five sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one blocked kick in 13 games.
Christian Matthew is six foot two and weighs 195 pounds. The 29-year-old from Miami, Florida, was drafted by the Orlando Storm in the 2026 UFL Draft. He attended training camp, and the Storm released him on March 19, 2026. Matthew signed with the Rhein Fire of the American Football League Europe on March 29, 2026. In 2026, he made 26 tackles (14 solos, 12 assists), two interceptions, and two pass breakups in nine games. The Fire released him on July 30, 2026.
The Arizona Cardinals drafted Matthew in the seventh round (244th pick) of the 2022 NFL Draft. Matthew also spent time with the Chicago Bears, Baltimore Ravens, and the Dallas Cowboys. He made 20 tackles (13 solos, 7 assists) and three pass breakups in 20-career NFL games. The Dallas Cowboys signed Matthew on July 30, 2025. In 2025, he made three tackles (3 solos) in two preseason games. The Cowboys released him on September 9, 2025.
Collegiately, Matthew spent three seasons at Georgia Southern University (2015-17) with 19 tackles (13 solos, 6 assists), half a tackle for loss, one interception, and four pass breakups in nine games for the Eagles.
Next, he transferred to Samford University (2018-19) with 29 tackles (19 solos, 10 assists), two tackles for loss, and four pass breakups in 19 games for the Bulldogs. Then, he transferred to Valdosta State University (2020-21), where he was named First Team All-GSC in 2021 after finishing the season with a career-high 37 tackles (26 solos, 11 assists), half a tackle for loss, one interception for 40 yards, one touchdown, 16 pass breakups, and one blocked kick in 14 games for the Blazers.
The Redblacks also announced they released running back Kevin Harris.
Kevin Harris is five foot ten and weighs 225 pounds. The 25-year-old from Hinesville, Georgia, signed with the Ottawa Redblacks on July 26, 2026.
The New England Patriots drafted Harris in the sixth round (183rd pick) in the 2022 NFL Draft. He played three seasons in New England with 34 carries for 117 yards, two rushing touchdowns, three catches for 58 yards, and one kick return for 20 yards in nine games.
In 2024, he had 12 carries for 37 yards, one rushing touchdown, two catches for 24 yards, one receiving touchdown, and one kick return for 20 yards in three preseason games. Harris spent the season on the practice squad. The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Harris on August 19, 2025. In 2025, he had seven carries for 25 yards, three catches for 17 yards, and one kick return for 29 yards in three preseason games. The Jaguars released him on August 26, 2025.
Collegiately, Harris spent three seasons at South Carolina (2018-20) with 358 carries for 1,976 yards, 23 rushing touchdowns, 35 catches for 274 yards, one receiving touchdown, and two tackles (2 solos) in 28 games for the Gamecocks. He was named First Team All-SEC in 2020.
