The Repco Supercars kicked off the Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440 weekend on Saturday with Race 23 at MotorMall Wanneroo Raceway in Perth, Western Australia. Matthew Payne started the race on the pole, with Cameron Waters starting second. The race was set to 50 laps.

Matthew Payne got off to a slow start, allowing Cameron Waters to take the lead. Waters led four laps until Payne made a diving move at Turn 7 to take the lead with Ryan Wood right behind him. Payne was issued a warning for his move. Payne extended his lead over Wood by a second on lap 13.

On lap 19, Brodie Kostecki was the first to pit road for a three-tire stop. Ryan Wood pitted on lap 28, and Matthew Payne a lap later. Once all pit stops were complete, Matthew Payne was still the leader. On lap 39, Kai Allen attempted to pass Brodie Kostecki at Turn 1 and spun him around into the sand, leading to a safety car. Payne had a 4.5-second lead before the safety car.

Allen was not issued a penalty. The race resumed with seven laps left. Payne got off to a good restart. Meanwhile, Ryan Wood was holding off Chaz Mostert to keep second place. Late in the race, Anton De Pasquale passed Mostert for third place. Upfront, Matthew Payne went on to win his fourth race of the season by 3.178 seconds over Ryan Wood.

Anton De Pasquale, Cameron Waters, and Chaz Mostert rounded out the top five. Kai Allen, Broc Feeney, Andre Heimgartner, Thomas Randle, and Rylan Gray completed the top ten. Click here to view the full results.
