Report: Arizona Cardinals sign Houston Gamblers defensive back Quinton Newsome

The Arizona Cardinals signed Houston Gamblers defensive back Quinton Newsome on Friday, according to Howard Balzer.

Quinton Newsome is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 25-year-old from Suwanee, Georgia, was drafted by the Houston Gamblers in the 2026 UFL Draft. In 2026, he made 43 tackles (34 solos, 9 assists), two tackles for loss, half a sack, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 10 games.

The Denver Broncos signed Newsome as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2024. He spent two seasons in Denver with eight tackles (6 solos, 2 assists) and one pass breakup in six preseason games. The Broncos released him on September 2, 2025.

Collegiately, Newsome spent five seasons at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2019-23) with 149 tackles (94 solos, 55 assists), seven tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, 17 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 53 games for the Cornhuskers. He was named a two-time All-Big Ten Honorable Mention (2022-23).
