The Calgary Stampeders re-signed wide receiver Damien Alford and signed defensive back Lance Boykin on Wednesday.
Damien Alford is six foot six and weighs 211 pounds. The 25-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the first round (1st pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. He also attended the Kansas City Chiefs rookie minicamp in 2025.
The Calgary Stampeders signed Alford on May 6, 2025. In 2025, he made 20 catches for 407 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games. The Stampeders released him on January 7, 2026, and he signed with the New Orleans Saints on the same day. The Saints released him on June 22, 2026.
Collegiately, Alford played four seasons at Syracuse (2020-23) with 67 catches for 1,291 yards and seven touchdowns in 42 games for the Orange. Then, he transferred to Utah in 2024, playing four games for the Utes.
Lance Boykin is six foot two and weighs 198 pounds. The 25-year-old from High Point, North Carolina, was drafted by the Birmingham Stallions in the 2026 UFL Draft. In 2026, he made five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist) in nine games.
The Seattle Seahawks signed Boykin as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, Boykin made five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist) in three preseason games to earn a spot on the practice squad. In 2024, Boykin made two tackles (2 solos) in one preseason game. The Seahawks released him on August 27, 2024.
Boykin signed with the Memphis Showboats on December 5, 2024. In 2025, he made 27 tackles (21 solos, 6 assists) and five pass breakups in 10 games
Collegiately, Boykin made two seasons at Old Dominion (2018-19) with 54 tackles (29 solos, 25 assists), two interceptions for 11 yards, and five pass breakups in 21 games for the Monarchs.
Then, Boykin transferred to Coastal Carolina (2021-22) with 85 tackles (48 solos, 37 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, three interceptions for 30 yards, 15 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 24 games for the Chanticleers. He was named Second Team All-Sun Belt in 2022 and played in the East-West Shrine Bowl in 2023.
