The Fayetteville Woodpeckers announced that infielder Hector Salas was promoted to High-A Asheville Tourists on Sunday.
Hector Salas is five foot eleven and weighs 145 pounds. The 22-year-old from the Dominican Republic batted .203 AVG, .386 OBP, .239 SLG, .625 OPS, with 28 hits, 27 runs, five doubles, 17 RBIs, 43 walks, struck out 53 times, 10 stolen bases, and was caught stealing five times in 138 at-bats playing 46 games. Earlier this year, Salas was up at Double-A Corpus Cristi Hooks.
In 2025 with Fayetteville, Salas batted .239 AVG, .362 OBP, .302 SLG, .602 OPS, with 26 hits, 13 runs, four doubles, nine RBIs, 18 walks, struck out 33 times, 10 stolen bases, and was caught stealing six times in 109 at-bats playing 33 games.
