The Fayetteville Woodpeckers announced on Monday that shortstop Xavier Neyens and outfielder Anthony Huezo have been promoted to the High-A Asheville Tourists.
Xavier Neyens is six foot three and weighs 210 pounds. The 19-year-old from Mount Vernon, Washington, was drafted by the Houston Astros in the first round (21st pick) in the 2025 MLB Draft. In 2026, he batted .240, with a .449 OBP, .462 SLG, .911 OPS, 53 hits, 52 runs, seven doubles, 14 home runs, 38 RBIs, walked 79 times, and 16 stolen bases in 68 games.
Anthony Huezo is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 20-year-old from Etiwanda, California, was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 12th round (374th pick) of the 2023 MLB Draft. In 2025, he batted .301, .363 OBP, .410 SLG, .773 OPS, 25 hits, 14 runs, one double, one triple, two home runs, 12 RBIs, eight walks, and six stolen bases in 22 games.
In 2026, Huezo batted .247, .350 OBP, .506 SLG, .856 OPS, 67 hits, 53 runs, 20 doubles, four triples, 14 home runs, 44 RBIs, 39 walks, and 30 stolen bases in 71 games.
