The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed defensive backs Kaylin Moore and Matt Jackson to the practice squad on Thursday.
Kaylin Moore is five foot eleven and weighs 190 pounds. The 23-year-old from Los Angeles, California, attended a rookie minicamp with the Washington Commanders in 2025.
Collegiately, Moore spent two seasons at Colorado (2021-22) with 44 tackles (31 solos, 13 assists), one tackle for loss, and three pass breakups in 17 games for the Buffaloes. Next, he transferred to California in 2023 with 24 tackles (13 solos, 11 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, and two pass breakups in 11 games for the Golden Bears.
Then, he transferred to UCLA in 2024, where he was named an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention after finishing the season with a career-high 37 tackles (28 solos, 9 assists), two tackles for loss, one interception, 10 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 12 games for the Bruins.
Moore is the son of Kelvin Moore, who played college football at Iowa State and played for the Cincinnati Bengals. His uncle, Travis Moore, played in the NFL and CFL with the Calgary Stampeders, winning two Grey Cup titles in 1998 and 2001. Moore also played three seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders from 2003 to 2005.
In his CFL career, Moore made 645 catches for 9,930 yards, 79 touchdowns, nine carries for 46 yards, 32 punt returns for 282 yards, one missed field goal return for 26 yards, 20 tackles, and two tackles on special teams in 157 games. In 2001, he also played for the San Francisco Demons of the XFL with 20 catches for 172 yards, two touchdowns, and one carry for nine yards in eight games.
He was also named a three-time CFL All-Star and a three-time CFL West All-Star. He also won two more Grey Cups as a coach in 2011 with the B.C. Lions and in 2016 with the Ottawa Redblacks as a wide receivers coach.
Matthew Jackson is six foot one and weighs 209 pounds. The 27-year-old from Chicago, Illinois, re-signed with the Blue Bombers on April 20, 2026. He was placed on the suspended list on May 10, 2026, and did not play in the preseason.
The Tennessee Titans signed Jackson as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he made four tackles (2 solos, 2 assists) in three preseason games. Jackson appeared in 10 regular-season games with six tackles (3 solos, 3 assists).
In 2024, he made four tackles (3 solos, 1 assist) in three preseason games. The Titans released him on August 27, 2024. The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Jackson to the practice squad on August 29, 2024. He dressed for one game and became a free agent after the 2024 season.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Jackson to the practice squad on October 2, 2025. The Blue Bombers released him on October 31, 2025.
Collegiately, Jackson played five seasons at Eastern Kentucky University (2018-22) with 294 tackles (170 solos, 124 assists), 27.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, two interceptions for 41 yards, 14 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries in 50 games for the Colonels. Jackson was named First Team All-ASUN, First Team All-ASUN by Phil Steele, Fourth Team All-American by Phil Steele and DraftScout, and Third Team All-American by Stats Perform.
