The B.C. Lions re-signed wide receiver and kick returner Jermaine Jackson to the practice squad on Tuesday.
Jermaine Jackson is five foot seven and weighs 170 pounds. The 26-year-old from Oakland, California, made four catches for 17 yards in two preseason games. The Lions released him on May 31, 2026.
The New Orleans Saints signed Jackson as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he suffered an injury in training camp and did not play in the preseason. He spent most of the season on the practice squad and appeared in four regular-season games with one carry for -1 yard, eight kick returns for 187 yards (23.38 AVG), and seven punt returns for 68 yards (9.71 AVG). The Saints released him on November 19, 2024.
The B.C. Lions signed Jackson on April 18, 2025. In 2025, Jackson made nine catches for 61 yards, seven kick returns for 146 yards, and 10 punt returns for 83 yards in four games.
Collegiately, Jackson played two seasons at the College of San Mateo (2018-19) with 61 catches for 796 yards, five touchdowns, 61 carries for 405 yards, five rushing touchdowns, 19 kick returns for 419 yards, three punt returns for 20 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 24 games for the Bulldogs. He was named First Team All-State and helped San Mateo appear in the CCCAA Northern California Football Conference Championship.
Then, he transferred to Idaho (2021-23) with 107 catches for 1,687 yards, six touchdowns, 16 carries for 129 yards, 21 kick returns for 638 yards, one touchdown, 33 carries for 540 yards, three touchdowns, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 28 games for the Vandals. He was named Second Team All-Big Sky Conference and was named Team Captain in 2023.
