The Denver Broncos are signing St. Louis Battlehawks defensive back Sean Fresch Jr. on Monday, according to Michael Del Negro.
Sean Fresch Jr. is five foot nine and weighs 181 pounds. The 24-year-old from Austin, Texas, was drafted by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2026 UFL Draft. In 2026, he made 29 tackles (23 solos, 6 assists), three tackles for loss, two sacks, four pass breakups, three kick returns for 85 yards, and 32 punt returns for 333 yards in 10 games. In the playoffs against the Louisville Kings, he made two tackles (2 solos), one forced fumble, and three punt returns for 25 yards.
Fresch Jr. attended the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Giants rookie minicamps in 2025. The San Antonio Brahmas signed Fresch Jr. on May 13, 2025. In 2025, he made 12 tackles (7 solos, 5 assists) and two punt returns for 32 yards in two games.
Collegiately, Fresch played five seasons at Rice (2020-24) with 152 tackles (116 solos, 36 assists), five tackles for loss, one sack, three interceptions, 30 pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one blocked kick, one catch for 40 yards, 20 kick returns for 445 yards, and 44 punt returns for 402 yards in 47 games for the Owls. He was named to the All-CUSA Freshman Team in 2020. Fresch also competed in track and field at Rice.
