The Winnipeg Blue Bombers released wide receiver and kick returner Jayden Harrison on Saturday.
Jayden Harrison is five foot ten and weighs 198 pounds. The 25-year-old from Pontiac, Michigan, signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on May 2, 2026. In 2026, Harrison had three kick returns for 65 yards and three punt returns for 14 yards in two preseason games.
Collegiately, Harrison began his collegiate career at Vanderbilt (2019-20) with eight catches for 20 yards, one carry for 16 yards, and seven kick returns for 141 yards in nine games for the Commodores.
Next, he transferred to Marshall (2021-23) with 63 catches for 759 yards, four touchdowns, two carries for four yards, 53 kick returns for 1,381 yards, three returning touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 38 games for the Thundering Herd.
In 2023, he was named First Team All-Sun Belt and First Team All-American after finishing the season with a career-high 28 catches for 410 yards, one touchdown, one carry for eight yards, 23 kick returns for 705 yards, two returning touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games.
Then, he transferred to Notre Dame in 2024 with 19 catches for 211 yards, one touchdown, 12 kick returns for 320 yards, one returning touchdown, and four tackles (4 solos) in 16 games for the Fighting Irish, helping them win the Sugar Bowl and Orange Bowl before losing to Ohio State in the CFP National Championship.
The Blue Bombers released running back Stevie Rocker, wide receivers T.J. Davis, Jihad Marks, Jamoi Mayes, Joshua Jack, Thomas Desrosiers, Kolby Hurford, and Jackson Tachinski, offensive linemen Iwinosa Uwubanmwen, Kendall Randolph, Sebastian Pares, and Bucky Williams, defensive linemen Antoineo Harris, Jonah Pace, Carter Hooper, Arnold Young, and Kaleb Mackie-McLeod, linebackers Micah Cretsinger and Ja’Kobe Clinton, defensive backs Warren Burrell, Bryan Addison, and Deandre Lamont, kicker Brady Lidster, and punter Keegan Andrews.
The following players were placed on the practice squad: running back Matthew Peterson, wide receivers Daniel Oladejo, Christian Fredricksen, Kenneth Womack, and Dorian Singer, offensive linemen Hunter Poncius and Micah Mazzccua, defensive linemen Collin Kornelson, David Reese, and Michael Fletcher, linebacker Charles-Elliot Bouliane, and defensive back Ridge Texada.
