The Calgary Stampeders released defensive back Jordan Polk on Saturday.
Jordan Polk is five foot one and weighs 189 pounds. The 25-year-old from Arlington, Texas, signed with the Calgary Stampeders on April 9, 2026. In 2026, he made six tackles and one tackle on special teams in two preseason games.
The New England Patriots signed Polk as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he made nine tackles (7 solos, 2 assists), one sack, one quarterback hit, and two pass breakups in three preseason games. The Patriots released him on August 22, 2025.
Polk signed with the Louisville Kings on February 20, 2026. He attended training camp before the team released him on March 19, 2026.
Collegiately, Polk spent three seasons at East Texas A&M University (2021-23) with 72 tackles (39 solos, 33 assists), seven tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions for 25 yards, 13 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 26 games for the Lions.
Then, he transferred to Texas State University in 2024, where he was named an All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention after finishing the season with a career-high 69 tackles (36 solos, 33 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 13 games for the Bobcats.
The Stampeders also released quarterback Jacolby Criswell, running back Terion Stewart, wide receivers Dante Wright, Kaylon Horton, Nunu Whatley, and Rylan Davison, offensive linemen Deondre Buford, Cameron Dye, Martes Lewis, and Chris Murray, defensive linemen Steven Kpehe, Brandon Maina, Khairi Manns, Devonte O’Malley, and Norell Pollard, linebackers Tyreem Powell and Olivier Ruest, defensive backs Kam Alexander and Corey Coley Jr., and kicker Dawson Hodge.
The following players were placed on the practice squad: Quarterback Ben Wooldridge, running back Deonta McMahon, wide receivers Jeremiah Hunter, Jesulayomi Ojutalayo, Rashod Owens, and Matt Sibley, offensive linemen Bakyne Coly and Matthew Stokman, defensive backs Zy Alexander, Ike Larsen, and Dolani Robinson, and kicker Jude McAtamney.
The following players were placed on the retired list as they are returning to school: Offensive linemen Mitchel Schechinger and Jack Warrack.
