The Calgary Stampeders released defensive back Devodric Bynum on Friday.
Devodric Bynum is five foot eleven and weighs 195 pounds. The 27-year-old from Dallas, Texas, signed with the Calgary Stampeders on February 10, 2026. In 2026, he made four tackles against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in a preseason game.
The Edmonton Elks signed Bynum on January 12, 2024. In 2024, he made 23 tackles, five interceptions, and one forced fumble in 14 games. In 2025, he made 17 tackles in five games.
Collegiately, Bynum played one season at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in 2018 with 40 tackles (18 solos, 22 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, one interception for 76 yards, one touchdown, four pass breakups, two kick returns for 71 yards, and two punt returns for 27 yards in nine games for the Golden Norsemen.
Then, Bynum transferred to the University of Birmingham-Alabama (2019-22) with 60 tackles (47 solos, 13 assists), 7.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, 15 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 43 games for the Blazers.
