The Houston Gamblers signed linebacker Dashaun White and released linebacker Anthony Hines III on Tuesday, according to the UFL Transactions page.

DaShaun White is six foot and weighs 218 pounds. The 26-year-old from North Richland Hills, Texas, re-signed with the Michigan Panthers on August 13, 2025. However, the league held another draft. The Orlando Storm drafted White in the 2026 UFL Draft. In 2026, he made eight tackles (3 solos, 5 assists) in five games. The Storm released him on April 28, 2026.

The San Francisco 49ers signed White to their practice squad on September 3, 2024. White appeared in one regular-season game against the Arizona Cardinals with no stats. The 49ers released White on May 28, 2025.

The Michigan Panthers signed White in the fifth round (32nd pick) of the 2023 USFL Draft. White played four games for the Panthers with seven tackles (3 solo, 4 assists).

After the season, the Panthers released him to pursue an NFL contract, which he signed with the Buffalo Bills on August 21, 2023. He played one preseason game against the Chicago Bears with one tackle. Then, White signed with the Michigan Panthers on September 11, 2023.

In 2024, White made nine tackles (7 solos, 2 assists), one tackle for loss, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in six games for the Michigan Panthers. The Panthers released him on May 23, 2024. He re-signed with the Panthers on June 4, 2024. White was released by the Michigan Panthers on August 20, 2024. He signed with the Las Vegas Raiders on August 21, 2024. White made two tackles (2 assists) in one preseason game. The Raiders released him on August 27, 2024.

Collegiately, White played five seasons at Oklahoma (2018-22) with 259 tackles (126 solos, 133 assists), 19.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and eight pass breakups in 63 games, of which 49 were starts for the Sooners. He was a Big-12 Honorable Mention in 2022.

Anthony Hines III is six foot three and weighs 226 pounds. The 27-year-old from Plano, Texas, was drafted by the Houston Gamblers in the 2026 UFL Regional College Allocation Draft. In 2026, Hines III made 51 tackles (34 solos, 17 assists) and three tackles for loss in nine games.

Hines III signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent on May 14, 2021. He also spent time with the Washington Commanders and the Los Angeles Rams. The Defenders drafted Hines III in the fifth round (37th pick) in Phase 3 of the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, Hines III made 33 tackles (19 solos, 14 assists), three tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, and one sack in nine games.

In 2024, he made 65 tackles (40 solos, 25 assists) and five tackles for loss in 10 games. The Defenders released him on August 11, 2024, and signed with the New York Jets on August 12, 2024. Hines III made two tackles (2 solos) in two preseason games. He spent most of the season on the practice squad before the Jets released him on October 8, 2024.

Hines re-signed with the Defenders on January 23, 2025. In 2025, he made 53 tackles (36 solos, 17 assists), five tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in eight games.

In the playoffs, he made 13 tackles (10 solos, 3 assists) and one fumble recovery, helping the Defenders win the UFL Championship over the Michigan Panthers. He was named to the All-UFL Team.

Collegiately, Hines III played three seasons at Texas A&M (2017-19) with 106 tackles (58 solos, 48 assists), 16.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 27 games for the Aggies. He was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team in 2017 after making 33 tackles (19 solos, 14 assists), six tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 13 games.
