The Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed wide receiver Isaiah Wooden Sr. and signed running back Trent Battle on Monday.
Isaiah Wooden Sr. is five foot nine and weighs 170 pounds. The 26-year-old from San Diego, California, made one catch for 10 yards, 42 kick returns for 1,105 yards, two touchdowns, 38 punt returns for 570 yards, one touchdown, four missed field goal returns for 97 yards, and two tackles on special teams in 14 games.
The Tiger-Cats released him on January 9, 2026, and he signed with the Cleveland Brown on January 9, 2026. The Browns released him on May 19, 2026.
The Atlanta Falcons signed Wooden as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. The Falcons released him on July 30, 2024.
The Los Angeles Chargers signed Wooden on August 12, 2024. He played two preseason games with one catch for two yards. The Chargers released him on August 17, 2024. The B.C. Lions signed Wooden on September 10, 2024. He was released by the Lions on September 30, 2024.

Trent Battle is six foot one and weighs 205 pounds. The 23-year-old from Daphne, Alabama, attended the Atlanta Falcons rookie minicamp in 2026.
Collegiately, Battle spent five seasons at Texas Christian University (2021-25) with 127 carries for 598 yards, eight rushing touchdowns, 27 catches for 253 yards, one kick return for 24 yards, one punt return for six yards, 11 tackles (8 solos, 3 assists), and one blocked kick in 40 games for the Horned Frogs. He was named a two-time First Team Academic All-Big 12.
The Tiger-Cats also announced linebacker Ryan Meed was moved to the retired list, and they released running back Shane Watts, wide receiver/kick returner Mario Alford, and defensive back Gavin Gibson.
Mario Alford is five foot nine and weighs 182 pounds. The 35-year-old from Greenville, Georgia, signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on February 10, 2026. He returned a missed field goal for an 111-yard touchdown against the Toronto Argonauts, but it was called back due to a penalty.
The Cincinnati Bengals drafted him in the seventh round (238th pick) in the 2015 NFL Draft. In 2015, he made one catch for 15 yards, eight kick returns for 190 yards, and eight punt returns for 68 yards in one game. The Bengals released him on September 3, 2016. He also spent time with the New York Jets, Chicago Bears, and Cleveland Browns. In 2025, Alford had 31 kick returns for 876 yards, one touchdown, and 44 punt returns for 476 yards in 18 games.
Collegiately, Alford played two seasons at Georgia Military College (2011-12) with 87 carries for 767 yards, ten touchdowns, and ten catches for 122 yards, and one touchdown in 17 games for the Bulldogs.
Then, Alford transferred to West Virginia (2013-14) with 92 catches for 1,497 yards, 13 touchdowns, 37 kick returns for 972 yards, two touchdowns, and three punt returns for -13 yards in 25 games for the Mountaineers.
Gavin Gibson is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 21-year-old from Hickory, North Carolina, signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on May 15, 2026. He saw some playing time against the Toronto Argonauts with no stats last Saturday.
Collegiately, Gibson began his collegiate career at the University of Maryland (2022-23) with 32 tackles (24 solos, 8 assists), four tackles for loss, one sack, and three pass breakups in 22 games for the Terrapins.
Next, he transferred to East Carolina University in 2024 with 52 tackles (25 solos, 27 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions for 30 yards, one touchdown, six pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 13 games for the Pirates. He helped the Pirates beat N.C. State to win the Military Bowl after making five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists) and one tackle for loss.
Then, he transferred to North Carolina in 2025 with 38 tackles (25 solos, 13 assists), three tackles for loss, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 12 games for the Tar Heels.
