The Repco Supercars Championship visited Symmons Plains Raceway on Saturday for Races 14 and 15 of the Tyrepower Tasmania Super 440 in Launceston, Tasmania. Both races were each 50 laps.

In Race 14, Chaz Mostert started the race on the pole with Anton De Pasquale starting second. De Pasquale got the jump ahead of Mostert to start the race. However, his lead was short-lived as Mostert passed him on the second lap at Turn 6. De Pasquale was high, allowing David Reynolds to take second place, and Pasquale fell to fifth place.

On lap 18, Brodie Kostecki took second place away from Reynolds before diving into pit road. De Pasquale pitted on the same lap, and Mostert pitted on lap 21. Mostert got ahead of Reynolds to keep the lead. Pit stops concluded with 14 laps to go, and Mostert had a four-second lead over Reynolds. Meanwhile, Brodie Kostecki was closing in on Reynolds.

Upfront, Mostert went on to win his first race of the season by 5.3 seconds. David Reynolds, Brodie Kostecki, Broc Feeney, and Andre Heimgartner rounded out the top five. Anton De Pasquale, Cameron Hill, Matthew Payne, Will Brown, and Jayden Ojeda completed the top ten. Click here to see the rest of the results.

In Race 15, Andre Heimgartner started the race on the pole with Matthew Payne starting second. Heimgartner dominated the race from the start, getting a jump start over Payne to keep the lead. Early in the race, Heimgartner had to fend off Broc Feeney. Feeney tried to pass Heimgartner at the hairpin, but Heimgartner slammed the door shut.

After that, Heimgartner began to distance himself from Feeney. However, on lap 14, Feeney began to close the distance, and Heimgartner would again hold him off. Feeney went to pit road on lap 28, hoping to get an advantage. On the next lap, Heimgartner, along with Matthew Payne, went to pit road. Heimgartner’s pit crew got him out quickly to keep the lead. The same could not be said for Payne, who was quickly caught and passed by Broc Feeney.

Late in the race, Payne had to fend off Anton De Pasquale to keep third place. Upfront, Andre Heimgartner ended a two-race winless streak by 3.686 seconds over Broc Feeney. Matthew Payne, Will Brown, and Anton De Pasquale rounded out the five. Kai Allen, Cam Waters, Ryan Wood, Cameron Hill, and Thomas Randle completed the top ten. Click here to see the full results.
