The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed running back Nahree Biggins on Wednesday.
Nahree Biggins is six foot one and weighs 210 pounds. The 24-year-old from Hillside, New Jersey, spent five seasons at Central Michigan University (2021-25). He started as a defensive back for three seasons before transitioning to running back in 2024.
Biggins had 124 carries for 676 yards, two rushing touchdowns, 22 catches for 192 yards, one touchdown, 16 tackles (10 solos, 6 assists), two tackles for loss, one interception, two pass breakups, and 15 kick returns for 312 yards in 34 games for the Chippewas.
In 2025, he was a team captain. Biggins had 105 carries for 540 yards, two rushing touchdowns, 19 catches for 185 yards, one touchdown, 12 kick returns for 250 yards, and one tackle (1 assist) in 12 games.
The Tiger-Cats also announced that wide receiver Kyrese Rowan has been added to the active roster from the suspended list, and they released wide receiver Jesse Matthews and linebacker TaMuarion Wilson.
Jesse Matthews is six foot and weighs 180 pounds. The 26-year-old from San Diego, California, signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on January 26, 2026.
The Houston Texans signed Matthews as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, Matthews suffered a knee injury, and the Texans released him on March 15, 2024.
The Atlanta Falcons signed Matthews on July 30, 2024. In 2024, he made seven catches for 57 yards and two carries for 14 yards in three preseason games. He spent the season on the practice squad. In 2025, he made three catches for 20 yards and two kick returns for 40 yards in three preseason games. The Falcons released him on August 23, 2025.
Collegiately, Matthews spent four seasons at San Diego State University (2019-22) with 174 catches for 2,109 yards, 15 touchdowns, six carries for 12 yards, 27 punt returns for 202 yards, and four tackles (2 solos, 2 assists) in 48 games for the Aztecs. He was named an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention in 2022. He was also named the 2019 New Mexico Bowl Co-Most Valuable Offensive Player and the 2021 Tropical Smoothie Frisco Bowl Most Valuable Offensive Player.
TaMuarion Wilson is six foot two and weighs 215 pounds. A native of Bryant, Arkansas, Wilson attended the Buffalo Bills rookie minicamp in 2025. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Wilson on January 15, 2026.
Collegiately, Wilson spent four seasons at the University of Central Arkansas (2020-23) with 355 tackles (233 solos, 122 assists), 27 tackles for loss, three sacks, seven interceptions for 94 yards, 22 pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 54 games for the Bears.
In 2022, he had a career-high 104 tackles (69 solos, 35 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles, two interceptions for 27 yards, and two pass breakups in 11 games. He was named First Team All-ASUN and Sophomore All-American by HERO Sports.
A year later, he was named First Team All-UAC and Fourth Team All-American by Phil Steele after finishing the season with 64 tackles (42 solos, 22 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and eight pass breakups in 11 games.
He concluded his collegiate career in 2024 with 90 tackles (58 solos, 32 assists), 11.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions for 39 yards, and eight pass breakups in 12 games as he was named First Team All-UAC for the second consecutive season.
Wilson attended Bryant High School, where he was a Hooten’s Magazine Top 25 AR prospect. He was named to the 7A Central All-Conference Team and AA 7A All-State Team in 2018 and 2019. He was named to the All-Arkansas Team by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. In 2019, he made 41 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, and nine pass breakups.
