The Calgary Stampeders signed offensive lineman Bakyne Coly and placed offensive lineman Preston Nichols on the six-game injured list on Saturday, according to the CFL Transactions page.

Bakyne Coly is six foot seven and weighs 300 pounds. The 25-year-old from Wainiha, Hawaii, spent two seasons at Lawrence Tech University (2021-22), playing 14 games for the Blue Devils. In 2021, Coly played five games. Lawrence Tech averaged 20.8 points per game, 339.6 yards per game, 280.3 passing yards per game, 59.4 rushing yards per game, and 23 touchdowns.

Then, he transferred to Purdue University (2023-25), appearing in 23 games, of which 12 were starts at right tackle for the Boilermakers. In 2025, he started 12 games at right tackle, playing 784 snaps. Purdue averaged 343.6 yards per game, 217.2 passing yards per game, 126.4 rushing yards per game, and 26 touchdowns. He was named a two-time Academic All-Big Ten (2024, 2025).
