The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series visited Dover Motor Speedway on Friday afternoon in the Ecosave 200. Kyle Busch started the race on the pole, with Ty Majeski starting second.
Kyle Busch dominated the race from the start, leading a race-high 147 of 200 laps, including sweeping both stages to win his second Truck Series race of the season over Ty Majeski by 3.039 seconds. It was also his fifth Truck Series win at Dover, and the 69th career Truck Series win.
The win did come easily for Busch. He exited off of pit road in third place behind Majeski and Ross Chastain after the second stage. He would retake the lead on lap 143 and never looked back. Layne Riggs, Kaden Honeycutt, and Christopher Bell rounded out the top five. Brandon Jones, Christian Eckes, Corey LaJoie, Jake Garcia, and Justin Haley completed the top ten. There were a total of five lead changes and five cautions for 28 laps. Among the drivers involved were Dystany Spurlock on lap 36, and Luke Baldwin and Cole Butcher on lap 119. For the second week in a row, NASCAR parked Natalie Decker for being too slow on the racetrack. Carson Hocevar suffered a suspension failure and finished in 31st place, and Clint Bowyer had a hub issue and finished in 29th place.
The Truck Series heads to Charlotte Motor Speedway next Friday at 7:30 pm on FS1.
