In the second stage, someone lost a tent, and the tent fell on the racetrack to bring out the caution. In the final stage, debris brought out the last caution of the afternoon on lap 61. After Gisbergen went to pit road for his final stop of the day. Ty Gibbs took the lead with Connor Zilisch right on his bumper. During the battle for the lead, Zilisch cut a tire that took him out of contention.

Meanwhile, Gisbergen shredded Gibbs’s time. When he caught him, Gibbs did not put up much of a fight, and Gisbergen took the lead. Shane led the final eight laps to win his first race of the season by 7.288 seconds over Michael McDowell.

It was Gisbergen’s seventh career Cup Series win. Gisbergen led a race-high 78 of 90 laps. Ty Gibbs, Chase Briscoe, and Tyler Reddick rounded out the top five. Austin Dillon, A.J.
