The Orlando Storm released defensive back Micah Abraham and signed defensive backs D.J. James and Avery Young on Thursday, according to the UFL Transactions page. The Storm also placed defensive back Jaylen Mahoney on injured reserve.

Micah Abraham is five foot ten and weighs 185 pounds. The 25-year-old from Tampa, Florida, was drafted by the Orlando Storm in the 2026 UFL Draft. In 2026, he made 15 tackles (12 solos, 3 assists) and one pass breakup in six games.

The Indianapolis Colts drafted Abraham in the sixth round (201st pick) of the 2024 NFL Draft. In 2024, he made 10 tackles (4 solos, 6 assists), one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in three preseason games.

The Colts released him on August 17, 2024. The Cincinnati Bengals signed Abraham on October 8, 2024. He spent the season on the practice squad. The Bengals released him on May 12, 2025.

He was named an All-American Honorable Mention by Phil Steele in 2022. Abraham is the son of St. Louis Battlehawks defensive coordinator Donnie Abraham, and his brother, Donnie, was the defensive backs coach for St. Louis in 2023.

D.J. James is six foot and weighs 184 pounds. The 25-year-old from Mobile, Alabama, was drafted by the Dallas Renegades in the 2026 UFL Draft. The Renegades released him on February 20, 2026.

The Seattle Seahawks drafted James in the sixth round (192nd pick) of the 2024 NFL Draft. In 2024, he made nine tackles (6 solos, 3 assists), one sack, one quarterback hit, and one pass breakup in three preseason games. The Seahawks released him on August 27, 2024.

In 2022, he was named Second Team All-SEC after finishing the season with 37 tackles (25 solos, 12 assists), one tackle for loss, one interception for 27 yards, one touchdown, and eight pass breakups in 12 games.

Avery Young is six foot and weighs 198 pounds. The 26-year-old from Coatesville, Pennsylvania, was drafted by the Houston Gamblers in the 2026 UFL Draft. He attended training camp, and the team released him on March 19, 2026.

The San Francisco 49ers signed Young as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2022. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Young on August 7, 2023. In 2023, he made three tackles (1 solo, 2 assists) in three preseason games. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Young on March 18, 2024. The Ticats released him on May 15, 2024.

Avery signed with the St. Louis Battlehawks on October 25, 2024. He attended training camp, and the team released him on March 20, 2025. He re-signed with the Battlehawks on April 17, 2025. In 2025, he made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in two games.

Collegiately, Young played five seasons at Rutgers (2018-22) with 326 tackles (169 solos, 157 assists), 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, three interceptions for 31 yards, 26 pass breakups, five forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, three kick returns for 51 yards, and 35 punt returns for 146 yards in 57 games for the Scarlet Knights.

He was named a two-time All-Big Ten Honorable Mention (2020, 2022), two-time All-ECAC Defense (2021-22), Academic All-Big Ten (2020), and won the Iron Knight Award in 2022.
