The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed wide receivers Dylan Djete and Shemar McBean, offensive linemen Darius Bell and Jez Janvier, and linebacker Osasere Odemwingie on Monday.

Dylan Djete is five foot ten and weighs 185 pounds. The 22-year-old from Levis, Quebec, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the second round (18th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Djete spent three seasons at Wofford College (2022-24) with 59 catches for 772 yards, four touchdowns, three carries for 18 yards, one rushing touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 31 games for the Terriers. He was named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team in 2022.

Then, he transferred to Alabama State in 2025 with 28 catches for 422 yards, four touchdowns, one carry for eight yards, and one tackle (1 assist) in 12 games for the Hornets.

Shemar McBean is five foot ten and weighs 195 pounds. The 24-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the seventh round (65th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

McBean played one season for the Calgary Colts of the CJFL in 2021 with 23 catches for 313 yards, one touchdown, eight carries, 29 kick returns for 449 yards, four punt returns for 55 yards, and four tackles for 47 yards in nine games.

Collegiately, McBean spent four seasons at the University of British Columbia (2022-25) with 158 catches for 2,477 yards, 13 touchdowns, six carries for 13 yards, 62 kick returns for 1,292 yards, 47 punt returns for 556 yards, one touchdown, and four tackles (3 solos, 1 assist) in 41 games for the Thunderbirds. In 2025, he had a career-high 49 catches for 792 yards, four touchdowns, 20 kick returns for 414 yards, nine punt returns for 55 yards, and three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in nine games.

Darius Bell is six foot three and weighs 300 pounds. The 23-year-old from Hamilton, Ontario, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the third round (29th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Bell spent three seasons at the University of Maine (2021-23), playing 18 games for the Black Bears. Then, he transferred to East Carolina University (2024-25), playing center in 19 games for the Pirates. In 2025, he started 13 games, playing 968 snaps, which tied a team-high. The offense helped ECU average 449 yards per game, 272.7 passing yards per game, 176.3 rushing yards per game, and 54 touchdowns.

Jez Janvier is six foot five and weighs 314 pounds. The 24-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the fifth round (47th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Janvier spent four seasons at Eastern Michigan University (2021-24), playing 27 games as an offensive and defensive lineman. He made nine tackles (5 solos, 4 assists) and a half tackle for loss. Then, he transferred to Southern Mississippi in 2025, playing five games for the Golden Eagles.

Osasere Odemwingie is six foot and weighs 220 pounds. The 21-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the fourth round (38th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Odemwingie spent four seasons at the University of Calgary (2022-25) with 216 tackles (109 solos, 107 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, four pass breakups, five forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 31 games for the Dinos. In 2024, he had a career-high 73 tackles (34 solos, 39 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, one pass breakup, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in eight games.
