Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign WR Kelly Akharaiyi and LB Inumidun Ayo-Durojaiye

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed wide receiver Kelly Akharaiyi and linebacker Inumidun Ayo-Durojaiye on Monday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Kelly Akharaiyi is six foot and weighs 201 pounds. The 26-year-old from Irving, Texas, was drafted by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2026 UFL Draft. He attended training camp, and the team released him on March 19, 2026.

The Buffalo Bills signed Akharaiyi as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. He attended training camp, and the team released him on August 8, 2025. The Arizona Cardinals signed Akhayaiyi on August 12, 2025, and released him on August 19, 2025.

Collegiately, Akharaiyi spent two seasons at Tyler Community College (2020-21) with 52 catches for 681 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games for the Apache. Next, he transferred to the University of Texas at El Paso (2022-23) with 69 catches for 1,308 yards, eight touchdowns, two carries for one yard, and two tackles (2 solos) in 24 games for the Miners. Then, he transferred to Mississippi State in 2025 with 25 catches for 391 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games for the Bulldogs.

Inumidun Ayo-Durojaiye is six foot one and weighs 215 pounds. A native of Damascus, Maryland, spent four seasons at Yale (2022-25) with 233 tackles (119 solos, 114 assists), 14 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one interception, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 41 games for the Bulldogs.

In 2025, he made a career-high 109 tackles (55 solos, 54 assists), two tackles for loss, one sack, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 12 games.
