The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed offensive lineman Riley Schick and kicker Zach Copeland on Monday.
Riley Schick is six foot one and weighs 300 pounds. The 25-year-old from Regina, Saskatchewan, spent four seasons with the Regina Thunder of the CJFL, where he was named a two-time CJFL All-Canadian in 2022 and 2023, and a three-time Prairie Football Conference All-Star.
Collegiately, Schick spent two seasons at the University of Regina (2024-25), playing center in 15 games for the Rams. In 2025, he was named a Canada West All-Star after starting eight games. Regina averaged 30.2 points per game, 409.7 yards per game, 256 passing yards, 159.7 rushing yards per game, and 31 touchdowns.
Zach Copeland is six foot two and weighs 205 pounds. The 23-year-old from St. Thomas, Ontario, spent five seasons at the University of Ottawa (2021-26), making 33 of 45 field goals (73%) with a long of 49 yards, 40 of 41 extra points (98%), 98 punts for 4,128 yards (42.2 AVG), with a long of 71 yards, and 10 from inside the 20-yard line in 33 games for the Gee-Gees. He was named a three-time U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian.
