Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign eight picks from the 2026 CFL Draft and Global Draft

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed offensive linemen Jonathan Denis and Brayden Szeman, defensive end Kyler Laing, defensive tackle Aamarii Notice, linebackers Loik Gagne and Marc Rondeau, defensive back Devynn Cromwell, and punter Nick Haberer on Monday.

Jonathan Denis is six foot two and weighs 313 pounds. The 25-year-old from Homestead, Florida, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the first round (5th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Denis spent two seasons at Oregon (2020-21), where he did not see any action with the Ducks. Next, he transferred to Miami (FL) (2022-23), playing six games for the Hurricanes.

Then, he transferred to the University of Central Missouri in 2024, playing nine games for the Mules, where they averaged 39 points per game, and 526.1 yards per game on their way to appearing in the Heritage Bowl.

Denis concluded his collegiate career at Louisiana Tech in 2025, playing 10 games for the Bulldogs. Louisiana Tech averaged 27.3 points per game, 359.2 yards per game, 163.8 passing yards per game, 195.4 rushing yards per game, and 46 touchdowns.

Brayden Szeman is six foot one and weighs 302 pounds. The 23-year-old from Vernon, British Columbia, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the fourth round (34th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Szeman spent six seasons at the University of Calgary (2020-25), playing center in 32 games for the Dinos. In 2025, he started eight games. Calgary averaged 24.4 points per game, 342.9 yards per game, 244.8 passing yards per game, 118.8 rushing yards per game, and 18 touchdowns.

Kyler Laing is six foot one and weighs 224 pounds. The 25-year-old from Tallahassee, Florida, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the eighth round (70th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Laing spent three seasons at the University of Buffalo (2020-22) with 28 tackles (19 solos, 9 assists), 12 tackles for loss, 6.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 17 games for the Bulls. Then, he transferred to Mercyhurst University (2024-25) with 45 tackles (20 solos, 25 assists), eight tackles for loss, four sacks, one interception for 30 yards, and one pass breakup in 17 games for the Lakers.

Aamarii Notice is six foot three and weighs 286 pounds. The 23-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the seventh round (61st pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Notice spent three seasons at the University of Idaho (2022-24) with 60 tackles (20 solos, 40 assists), four tackles for loss, and two sacks in 34 games for the Vandals. Then, he transferred to Coastal Carolina in 2025 with 18 tackles (11 solos, 7 assists), one tackle for loss, and half a sack in 13 games for the Chanticleers.

Loik Gagne is five foot eleven and weighs 215 pounds. The 23-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the fifth round (43rd pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Gagne spent four seasons at Concordia University (2022-26) with 92 tackles (66 solos, 26 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and one pass breakup in 31 games for the Stingers. In 2023, he made a career-high 42 tackles (31 solos, 11 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and one pass breakup in eight games.

Marc Rondeau is six foot and weighs 195 pounds. The 24-year-old from Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the sixth round (52nd pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Rondeau spent four seasons at the University of Ottawa (2022-25) with 153 tackles (92 solos, 61 assists), 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, one interception, two pass breakups, and two blocked kicks in 30 games for the Gee-Gees. In 2025, he made a career-high 67 tackles (40 solos, 27 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, half a sack, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one pass breakup in eight games.

Devynn Cromwell is six foot one and weighs 200 pounds. The 24-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the third round (25th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Cromwell spent two seasons at the University of Guelph (2022-23) with 35 tackles (24 solos, 11 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 10 games for the Gryphons.

Next, he transferred to Texas Tech in 2024 with 20 tackles (9 solos, 11 assists) in nine games for the Red Raiders. Then, he transferred to Michigan State in 2025 with four tackles (2 solos, 2 assists) in seven games for the Spartans.

Nick Haberer is six foot five and weighs 227 pounds. The 25-year-old from Sunshine Coast, Queensland, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the first round (5th pick) of the 2026 CFL Global Draft.

Collegiately, Haberer spent four seasons at Washington State (2021-24), punting the ball 172 times for 7,376 yards (42.9 AVG), with a long of 62 yards, seven touchbacks, 94 fair catches, 56 from inside the 20-yard line, 17 from 50-plus yards, one kickoff for 59 yards, completed two passes for 54 yards, one carry for -12 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 42 games for the Cougars.

Then, he transferred to Vanderbilt in 2025, punting the ball 26 times for 1,219 yards (46.9 AVG) and 12 from inside the 20-yard line in 13 games for the Commodores.
