The Winnipeg Blue Bombers selected defensive lineman Edward Vesterinen and punter Keegan Andrews in the 2026 CFL Global Draft on Wednesday.

Edward Vesterinen is six foot three and weighs 282 pounds. The 26-year-old from Helsinki, Finland, accepted a rookie minicamp invite from the Minnesota Vikings. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers drafted Vesterinen in the first round (4th pick) in the 2026 CFL Global Draft.

Collegiately, Vesterinen spent five seasons at West Virginia (2021-25) with 77 tackles (28 solos, 49 assists), 13.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery in 47 games for the Mountaineers. In 2025, he made a career-high 30 tackles (12 solos, 18 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and one fumble recovery in 12 games.

Keegan Andrews is six foot three and weighs 250 pounds. A native of Werribee, Australia, Andrews was drafted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the second round (13th pick) of the 2026 CFL Global Draft.

Andrews began his collegiate career at MacKillop College Secondary School in Werribee, Melbourne, Australia. He then headed to Texas A&M, where he did not play for the Aggies.

Andrews transferred to Massachusetts in 2025, punting the ball 63 times for 2,934 yards (46.6 AVG), with a long of 66 yards, two touchbacks, 24 from inside the 20-yard line, and 19 from 50-plus yards in 10 games for the Minutemen. He was named First Team All-MAC and Second Team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA).
