The NASCAR Xfinity Series visited Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon in the Andy’s Frozen Custard 340. Justin Allgaier started the race on the pole, with Brandon Jones starting second.
Justin Allgaier led the opening 53 laps to win the first stage. On the second lap, a five-car crash involved Carson Kvapil, Taylor Gray, Corey Heim, William Sawalich, and Jeb Burton. Corey Heim was the only driver who did not finish the race and finished in 37th place.
It was one of seven cautions throughout the race for 36 laps. Outside of debris that led to a caution, Connor Zilisch led 37 laps to win the second stage.
In the final stage, the race came down to Kyle Larson and Justin Allgaier. After Rajah Caruth’s accident in the backstretch that led to the final caution of the race, Kyle Larson beat Allgaier to keep the lead. Larson would lead a race-high 93 of 200 laps, including the final 20 laps, holding off Justin Allgaier to win his second race of the season by 0.293 seconds.
Sam Mayer, Brent Crews, and Parker Retzlaff rounded out the top five. Sheldon Creed, Austin Hill, Brandon Jones, Jesse Love, and Jeremy Clements completed the top ten. Click here to see the rest of the finishing order.
