Carson Hocevar holds off Kyle Busch to win at Texas Motor Speedway

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series visited Texas Motor Speedway on Friday night in the SpeedyCash.com 250. Ben Rhodes started the race on the pole, with Jake Garcia starting second.

Ben Rhodes led 41 laps and won the first stage. Carson Hocevar, who started 11th, dominated the race, leading a race-high 76 of 167 laps, including winning the second stage. Late in the race, Gio Ruggiero was leading with two laps to go before a five-truck crash near the end of regulation, sending the race to overtime.

The drivers involved were Justin Haley, Tanner Gray, Connor Jones, Andres Perez, and Jake Garcia. The crash was one of eight for 39 laps. In overtime, Hocevar charged past Ruggiero in Turns 3 and 4, and Kyle Busch took second from Ruggiero on the final lap. Hocevar went on to win the race by 0.730 seconds over Kyle Busch.

Gio Ruggiero, Kaden Honeycutt, and Chandler Smith rounded out the top five. Stewart Friesen, Grant Enfinger, Layne Riggs, Ty Majeski, and Ross Chastain completed the top ten. Click here to see the rest of the finishing order.
