The Calgary Stampeders signed wide receiver Jesulayomi Ojutalayo, offensive linemen Mitchel Schechinger and Deondre Buford, defensive linemen Tristan Marios and Steven Kpehe, linebackers Eric Rascoe and Olivier Ruest, defensive back Ike Larsen, and kicker Jude McAtamney on Friday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Jesulayomi Ojutalayo is six foot two and weighs 217 pounds. The 22-year-old from Shelburne, Ontario, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the third round (26th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Ojutalayo spent three seasons at Wilfrid Laurier (2023-25) with 44 catches for 705 yards, six touchdowns, three carries for 32 yards, and 30 tackles (22 solos, 8 assists) in 21 games for the Golden Hawks.
In 2024, he had a career-high 23 catches for 414 yards, three touchdowns, two carries for three yards, and 16 tackles (10 solos, 6 assists) in 10 games. Ojutalayo helped the Golden Hawks win the Uteck Bowl and the Yates Cup. In 2025, he was named First Team OUA All-Star and a two-time Bill Haggstrom Trophy winner.
Mitchel Schechinger is six foot two and weighs 301 pounds. The 22-year-old from Sarnia, Ontario, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the sixth round (53rd pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Schechinger spent four seasons at the University of Guelph (2022-25), playing 29 games for the Gryphons. He is a two-time OUA All-Star and a two-time Second Team U Sports All-Canadian (2024-25). Schechinger also won back-to-back bronze medals as a member of the Gryphons’ wrestling team.
Deondre Buford is six foot four and weighs 325 pounds. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Buford spent two seasons at Kentucky (2021-22), playing right tackle in 15 games for the Wildcats. Then, he transferred to Cincinnati (2023-25), playing left guard and right tackle in 35 games for the Bearcats.
In 2025, Cincinnati averaged 30.3 points per game, 407.3 yards per game, 231.2 passing yards per game, 176.1 rushing yards per game, and 51 touchdowns. Buford was part of an offensive line that was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, presented annually to the nation’s best offensive line
Tristan Marois is six foot five and weighs 249 pounds. The 24-year-old from Saint-Bruno, Quebec, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the third round (27th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Marois spent three seasons at Robert Morris (2020-22) with 26 tackles (13 solos, 13 assists), six tackles for loss, 3.5 tackles, and one blocked kick in 13 games for the Colonials. Then, he transferred to Colorado (2023-25) with three tackles (3 solos) in 22 games for the Buffaloes.
Steven Kpehe is six foot one and weighs 245 pounds. The 23-year-old from London, Ontario, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the seventh round (62nd pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Kpehe spent four seasons at Queen’s University (2022-25) with 38 tackles (20 solos, 18 assists), four tackles for loss, five sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble in 35 games for the Gaels. In 2025, he made 27 tackles (12 solos, 15 assists), one tackle for loss, four sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble in 12 games.
Eric Rascoe is six foot one and weighs 210 pounds. The 25-year-old from San Antonio, Texas, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the first round (6th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft. In 2025, he played for the San Antonio Gunslingers of the Indoor Football League with 38 tackles (18 solos, 20 assists), one tackle for loss, and one sack in four games.
Collegiately, Rascoe spent five seasons at Angelo State University (2019-24) with 225 tackles (104 solos, 121 assists), 20 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, five interceptions for 32 yards, two touchdowns, 18 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 48 games for the Rams. He was named a three-time First Team All-Conference. In 2024, he was one of two players to win Lone Star’s Linebacker of the Year award.
Olivier Ruest is five foot eleven and weighs 223 pounds. The 24-year-old from Quebec, began his collegiate career at the University of Western Ontario (2022-23) with 23 tackles 11 solos, 12 assists), one interception, and one pass breakup in 14 games for the Mustangs. He helped the Mustangs win the Yates Cup in 2023.
Then, he transferred to the University of Laval (2024-25) with 15 tackles (10 solos, 5 assists) and one fumble recovery in 10 games for the Rouge et Or. He helped Laval win the Dunsmore Cup and the Vanier Cup in 2024.
Ike Larsen is five foot eleven and weighs 195 pounds. The 23-year-old from Smithfield, Utah, spent five seasons at Utah State (2021-25) with 273 tackles (163 solos, 110 assists), 12 tackles for loss, two sacks, 10 interceptions for 181 yards, two touchdowns, 22 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one punt return for 10 yards in 45 games for the Aggies.
In 2023, he had a career-high 103 tackles (58 solos, 45 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions for 109 yards, one touchdown, six pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 13 games. He was named Second Team All-Mountain West in 2022, First Team All-Mountain West in 2023, College Football Network Honorable Mention All-American in 2023, and College Sports Communicators Comeback Player of the Year in 2024.
Jude McAtamney is six foot three and weighs 268 pounds. The 25-year-old from Derry, Northern Ireland, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the first round (6th pick) of the 2026 CFL Global Draft.
The New York Giants signed McAtamney as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. He spent two seasons in New York, making 3 of 3 field goals (100%), with a long of 31 yards, 10 kickoffs for 638 yards (64 AVG), and six touchbacks in five games. The Giants released him on November 24, 2025.
Collegiately, McAtamney spent one season at Chowan University in 2021 with 60 kickoffs for 3,681 yards (61.4 AVG), 19 touchbacks, punting the ball two times for 76 yards (38 AVG) with a long of 43 yards, making 6 of 10 field goals (60%), with a long of 47 yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in nine games for the Hawks.
Then, he transferred to Rutgers (2022-23), making 12 of 19 field goals (63.2 AVG), with a long of 49 yards, 106 kickoffs for 6,414 yards (60.5 AVG), 57 touchbacks, made 23 extra points, and one tackle (1 solo) in 25 games for the Scarlet Knights.
