The Calgary Stampeders selected kicker Jude McAtamney and defensive lineman Jireh Ojata in the 2026 CFL Global Draft on Wednesday.
Jude McAtamney is six foot three and weighs 268 pounds. The 25-year-old from Derry, Northern Ireland, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the first round (6th pick) of the 2026 CFL Global Draft.
The New York Giants signed McAtamney as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. He spent two seasons in New York, making 3 of 3 field goals (100%), with a long of 31 yards, 10 kickoffs for 638 yards (64 AVG), and six touchbacks in five games. The Giants released him on November 24, 2025.
Collegiately, McAtamney spent one season at Chowan University in 2021 with 60 kickoffs for 3,681 yards (61.4 AVG), 19 touchbacks, punting the ball two times for 76 yards (38 AVG) with a long of 43 yards, making 6 of 10 field goals (60%), with a long of 47 yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in nine games for the Hawks.
Then, he transferred to Rutgers (2022-23), making 12 of 19 field goals (63.2 AVG), with a long of 49 yards, 106 kickoffs for 6,414 yards (60.5 AVG), 57 touchbacks, made 23 extra points, and one tackle (1 solo) in 25 games for the Scarlet Knights.
Jireh Ojata is six foot three and weighs 268 pounds. The 23-year-old from Carmel, Indiana, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the second round (15th pick) of the 2026 CFL Global Draft.
Collegiately, Ojata spent four seasons at Franklin College (2020-23) with 160 tackles (89 solos, 71 assists), 48.5 tackles for loss, 32 sacks, seven pass breakups, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and four blocked kicks in 36 games for the Grizzlies.
In 2023, he made 53 tackles (32 solos, 21 assists), 17 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, one pass breakup, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and four blocked kicks in 10 games. He was named a three-time First Team All-HCAC, Third Team All-Region from D3football.com in 2021, and Defensive Player of the Year in 2023.
Then, he transferred to Purdue (2024-25) with 12 tackles (10 solos, 2 assists), one tackle for loss, and one sack in 12 games for the Boilermakers.
