Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign WR Joshua Jack, four others

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed wide receiver Joshua Jack, tight end Dante Daniels, defensive lineman Carter Hooper, and linebackers Charles-Elliot Bouliane and Brody Clark on Thursday. They also announced that running back J.J. Taylor and offensive lineman Ben Dooley have retired.

Joshua Jack is six foot and weighs 200 pounds. The 25-year-old from Brampton, Ontario, was drafted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the seventh round (60th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Jack spent six seasons at St. Mary’s University (2020-25) with 47 catches for 768 yards, three touchdowns, four carries for 16 yards, one rushing touchdown, 24 kick returns for 546 yards, one touchdown, and 22 punt returns for 223 yards in 23 games for the Huskies.

Dante Daniels is six foot five and weighs 272 pounds. A native of Windsor, Ontario, Daniels was drafted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the second round (10th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Daniels spent two seasons at Butler Community College (2022-23) with 11 catches for 147 yards, one touchdown, three kick returns for five yards, and one tackle (1 assist) in 10 games for the Grizzlies. Then, he transferred to N.C. State (2024-25) with 10 catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns in 26 games for the Wolfpack. 

Carter Hooper is six foot five and weighs 265 pounds. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Hooper spent three seasons at the University of Connecticut (2021-23) with 27 tackles (8 solos, 19 assists), a half tackle for loss, and two pass breakups in 25 games for the Huskies.

Then, he transferred to South Dakota (2024-25) with 42 tackles (17 solos, 25 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and one pass breakup in 29 games for the Coyotes.

Charles-Elliot Bouliane is five foot eleven and weighs 229 pounds. The 24-year-old from Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec, was drafted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the third round (24th pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Bouliane spent four seasons with the University of Montreal (2022-25) with 93 tackles (65 solos, 28 assists), 9.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, and one interception in 29 games for the Carabins. He helped Montreal win two Vanier Cups in 2023 and 2025. He was named First Team U Sports Special Teams All-Canadian in 2023 and RSEQ All-Star in 2025.

Brody Clark is six foot and weighs 217 pounds. The 24-year-old from Delta, British Columbia, was drafted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the fifth round (42nd pick) of the 2026 CFL Draft.

Clark spent three seasons in the CJFL with the Langley Rams (2019, 2021-23) with one catch for 79 yards, one touchdown, three kick returns for 97 yards, two punt returns for 58 yards, two tackles, 19 tackles on special teams, and one fumble recovery in 13 games.

Collegiately, Clark spent two seasons at York University (2024-25) with 59 tackles (40 solos, 19 assists), four tackles for loss, two sacks, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick in 10 games for the Lions.
