Saskatchewan Roughriders linebacker Seth Hundeby announced his retirement on Thursday.

Seth Hundeby is six foot two and weighs 251 pounds. The 24-year-old from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the fourth round (34th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. In 2025, he made two tackles on special teams in two preseason games.

He was placed on the retired list on May 31, 2025, as he was returning to school. The Roughriders signed him on November 26, 2025.

Collegiately, Hundeby played five seasons at the University of Saskatchewan (2021-25) with 284 tackles (176 solos, 108 assists), 27.5 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, seven pass breakups, two interceptions for 65 yards, one touchdown, and six forced fumbles in 53 games for the Huskies. He was named a Canada West All-Star and All-Canadian in 2024.

In 2025, Hundeby won the 2025 Presidents’ Trophy as the Most Outstanding Defensive Player after finishing the season with 79 tackles (51 solos, 28 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, two interceptions for 65 yards, one touchdown, two pass breakups, and four forced fumbles in 11 games.
