The Calgary Stampeders placed quarterback P.J. Walker and defensive backs Brady Breeze and Lance Robinson on the retired list, while releasing linebacker Nicky Farinaccio on Thursday.
P.J. Walker is five foot eleven and weighs 215 pounds. The 31-year-old from Elizabeth, New Jersey, re-signed with the Calgary Stampeders on November 11, 2024. In 2025, Walker completed 35 of 59 passes (59.3%) for 395 yards, two touchdowns, four interceptions, seven carries for 32 yards, and one rushing touchdown in 13 games.
The Indianapolis Colts signed Walker as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2017. He spent two seasons on the practice squad. Next, Walker was drafted by the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) in the 2020 XFL Draft.
Walker was having an MVP-caliber season, completing 119 of 184 passes (64.7%) for 1,338 yards, 15 touchdowns, four interceptions, 24 carries for 99 yards, one touchdown, and two tackles (2 solo) in five games before the league suspended the season due to COVID-19. At the time of the suspension, the Roughnecks were 5-0.
His play in the XFL earned him a contract when he signed with the Carolina Panthers on March 25, 2020. He played three seasons in Carolina, completing 131 of 228 passes (57.5%) for 1,461 yards, five touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and 18 carries for 50 yards in 15 games, of which 7 were starts. He became a free agent after the 2022 season and signed with the Chicago Bears on March 16, 2023. The Bears released him on August 27, 2023.
Then, Walker signed with the Cleveland Browns on August 30, 2023. In 2023, Walker completed 54 of 111 passes (48.6%) for 674 yards, one touchdown, five interceptions, and 13 carries for 30 yards in six games, of which two were starts. Walker became a free agent after the 2023 season.
Walker signed with the Seattle Seahawks on June 11, 2024. He played three preseason games, completing 15 of 28 passes (53.6%) for 148 yards, and three carries for five yards.
The Seahawks released him on August 27, 2024. The Calgary Stampeders acquired Walker’s negotiation-list rights from the Toronto Argonauts on September 26, 2024, and signed him on October 8, 2024, and spent three weeks on the practice squad. The Stampeders released him on October 27, 2024.
Collegiately, Walker played four seasons at Temple (2013-16), completing 782 of 1,363 passes (57%) for 10,179 yards, 70 touchdowns, 42 interceptions, 329 carries for 738 yards, nine touchdowns, made two catches for 39 yards, and two tackles (2 solo) in 46 games for the Owls.
He is the all-time leader in pass attempts (1,410), completions (803), passing yards (10,273), TD passes (72), and total offense (11,100). In 2016, he was named the American Athletic Conference Championship Game Most Outstanding Player after leading the Owls to the 31-14 win over Navy.
Brady Breeze is six foot and weighs 200 pounds. The 28-year-old from Medford, Oregon, signed with the Arlington Renegades on January 30, 2025. He attended training camp and was released on March 20, 2025. The Calgary Stampeders signed Breeze on August 17, 2025. In 2025, he made five tackles and two tackles on special teams in four games.
The Tennessee Titans drafted Breeze in the sixth round (215th pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans, and the Cleveland Browns. Breeze played 11 regular-season games with six tackles (5 solos, 1 assist).
The Cleveland Browns signed Breeze on June 5, 2024. In 2024, Breeze made 11 tackles (7 solos, 4 assists) and one sack in one preseason game. The Browns released him on August 27, 2024.
Collegiately, Breeze played three seasons at Oregon (2017-19) with 95 tackles (65 solos, 30 assists), three interceptions for 32 yards, one touchdown, eight pass breakups, one forced fumble, four fumble recoveries, and one touchdown in 38 games for the Ducks.
In 2019, he was named the Rose Bowl MVP after making 11 tackles (9 solos, 2 assists), one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass breakup against Wisconsin.
Lance Robinson is five foot ten and weighs 185 pounds. The 25-year-old from New Orleans, Louisiana, signed with the Calgary Stampeders on September 22, 2025. In 2025, he made one tackle in two games.
The Cincinnati Bengals signed Robinson as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he made four tackles (3 solos, 1 assist) in two preseason games. An injury sidelined him for the season. In 2025, he made two tackles (2 solos) and two pass breakups in three preseason games. The Bengals released him on August 25, 2025.
Collegiately, Robinson played three seasons at Kansas State (2018-20) with 27 tackles (22 solos, 5 assists), one tackle for loss, and three pass breakups in 18 games for the Wildcats. He was named First Team All-Academic in 2019.
Then, he transferred to Tulane (2021-23) with 84 tackles (63 solos, 21 assists), three tackles for loss, five interceptions for 67 yards, 16 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 35 games for the Mean Green.
Nicky-Alexander Farinaccio is six foot one and weighs 205 pounds. The 26-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the fourth round (32nd pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. In 2025, he made three tackles and two tackles on special teams in three games.
Collegiately, Farinaccio played four seasons at the University of Montreal (2021-24) with 120 tackles (78 solos, 42 assists), 19.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and three pass breakups in 25 games for the Carabins. He was named First Team U-Sports All-Star in 2022, two-time Athlete of the Year, two-time RSEQ All-Star Defensive Team, and Second Team U-Sports All-Star.
