The Montreal Alouettes signed tight end Oscar Cardenas on Wednesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Oscar Cardenas is six foot four and weighs 265 pounds. The 24-year-old from San Antonio, Texas, signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, Cardenas played in three preseason games with no stats. The Cardinals released him on August 25, 2025.
Collegiately, Cardenas spent six seasons at the University of Texas at San Antonio (2019-24) with 95 catches for 1,138 yards, nine touchdowns, five carries for eight yards, one kick return for 10 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 65 games for the Roadrunners.
In 2024, he was named Second Team All-AAC after finishing the season with 13 catches for 141 yards and three touchdowns. He was also named Third Team All-AAC in 2022 and an All-AAC Honorable Mention in 2021.
